Kosovo recognition runs into the sands

According to the Albanian daily, Koha Ditore, Kosovo’s campaign to become a member of the United Nations by the end of this year has run into the sands. Although the majority of the EU states and the USA have recognised the independence of Kosovo from Serbia, only 45 states in the world have followed them in this. This is less than a quarter of the existing Member States of the UN (there are nearly 200 states in the world now) and therefore there is little chance that the organisation will admit Kosovo as a member.
